Who is Dr. Desiree Saleh?
I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with you and share a bit more about myself. I believe that getting to know a little bit about your therapist can bring comfort and build trust, so let's dive in!
I am the owner and founder of Petal and Poppy Therapy. I hold a Doctorate of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology. I hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health, meaning, I've immersed myself in intensive and specialized training focused on perinatal and maternal mental health, with a particular emphasis on the sensitive areas of miscarriage, grief, and loss. "Perinatal" may sound complex, but it simply refers to the period during pregnancy and after childbirth. Additionally, I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #4037).
