who is Dr. Desiree Saleh continued...

Hi again!

I am obsessed with and have such a big heart for all things perinatal and maternal mental health! I bring not only professional knowledge but also profound empathy for the challenges my clients face. My journey into this field has been deeply influenced by my own life experiences, heartbreak, and my interactions with therapists (Yes, therapists need therapists too!) With the help of others, I decided that I needed to find a way to give my own heartbreak meaning. You can find more information about why I chose the name "Petal and Poppy" for my practice name on the FAQ page.

As a Christian, I'm open to incorporating faith into our therapy sessions, but please know that I respect and honor your unique journey, regardless of your beliefs. Whether we delve into matters of faith or not, I'm here to meet you exactly where you are on your path towards healing.

I'm proud to have been raised in the Tampa Bay area, and I savor every moment spent here with my husband and our golden retriever, "Nala," who is a certified service/therapy dog. Nala has been a cherished part of my practice right from the beginning.

One of the aspects that excites me most is the opportunity to extend my services to the Telehealth community across the state of Florida, recognizing the growing importance of accessible mental health support.

I'm genuinely passionate about my work, and I draw daily inspiration from the remarkable courage and strength displayed by the women and families I have the privilege to work with.

Your life and experiences are uniquely yours, and I recognize the vulnerability and strength it takes to allow me into your world during some of the most difficult times. I want you to know that you are not alone, and I see you.
