You are not alone, this is not your fault, and with help, these concerns are treatable.

PREGNANCY

Perhaps you've carried the dream of pregnancy with you for as long as you can remember, or maybe the news of your impending motherhood took you by surprise. Regardless of the circumstances, pregnancy is an unparalleled journey. Some describe it as the most remarkable feeling and experience in the world, while others grapple with paralyzing fear, anxiety, or depression along the way.

You might find yourself not feeling as you expected or as societal norms dictate you should during your pregnancy. The new roles and expectations you're assuming might seem overwhelming and unattainable.

The idea of becoming a mother may be challenging to adjust to, and the idea of childbirth may strike fear into your heart.

You might be anxious about your ability to be a good mother or overcome by intrusive and distressing thoughts that leave you feeling apprehensive. Your journey into motherhood might stir up past wounds or complex emotions tied to your childhood or your relationship with your own mother.

You may have experienced a miscarriage or pregnancy loss, which has left you hesitant to open your heart to the baby growing inside you, for fear of enduring the pain of loss once again.

Please know that you are not alone. Did you know that up to 20% of women experiance depression or anxiety during pregnancy? Whatever emotions you're experiencing, it's okay. Your feelings do not define your potential as a mother.

It's crucial to recognize that you are not alone in this journey. Together, we can explore both the beauty and complexities of your pregnancy.

In our therapy sessions, you'll find a safe and empathetic space where your voice is heard. These sessions are judgment-free zones where I encourage you to openly express your concerns and explore your experiences at your own pace.

My passion lies in assisting you in crafting a tailored plan to address your unique pregnancy needs. During our sessions, I'll support you in confronting your challenges and regaining a sense of control over what you can manage while helping you release what you cannot. We'll also collaborate on strengthening your social support network, including your family, friends, and your partner or spouse.

My ultimate goal is to help you find peace and tap into your inner strength, both during and after your pregnancy.

POSTPARTUM

Are you feeling sad or depressed?

Do you feel more irritable or angry with those around you?

Are you having difficulty bonding with your baby?

Do you feel anxious or panicky?

Are you having problems with eating or sleeping?

Are you having upsetting thoughts that you can’t get out of your mind?

Do you feel as if you are “out of control” or “going crazy”?

Do you feel like you never should have become a parent?

Are you worried that you might hurt your baby or yourself?

It's crucial to understand that with informed and compassionate care, these symptoms can be managed and a full recovery is possible. You are not alone, and there is no need to endure this journey in isolation.

Counseling has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in addressing postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. I understand that for many individuals, broaching these concerns openly may be the last thing they want to do. Seeking help requires great vulnerability and strength, but please remember, you deserve the support, and this is not your fault.

I recognize that finding time for therapy may seem challenging given your busy schedule, but it's crucial for your well-being, your baby's well-being, and your family's overall health. I am here to support you and will collaborate to schedule a telehealth appointment that aligns with your convenience.

Please know that I am more than willing to and will actively encourage you to allow me to collaborate with any existing physicians or providers you may have, as we all play essential roles in your comprehensive care team, helping to ensure that your well-being is our collective priority.
